Capurso is the other Puglia: A village that surprises you every day. With over 200 annual events and a prime location, it's the ideal starting point for exploring the region and soaking up the Apulian spirit.
The volleyball association led by Professor Achille Padovano, which had been asking the municipal administration for over 30 years for a volleyball facility, began construction of the sports hall in 2019. The facility, which cost approximately €1.400.000, was completed in May 2021, but due to the Covid-19 pandemic, it became a hub for administering the Covid-19 vaccine. Finally, at the end of April 2022, the facility was delivered to the residents and the sports enthusiasts for whom it was conceived and designed.
Today, the PalaPadovano, managed by local sports associations, hosts futsal, volleyball, and basketball teams, but there are also initiatives involving other sports.
